On January 18, 2009, CSSA successfully held a Chinese New Year reception party at Great Wall restaurant for all the Chinese-government-funded scholars and students who are working and studying in UC Davis. Nearly 100 people, including officers from San Francisco Consulate and CSSA committee members, attended this reception and enjoyed a wonderful Chinese-style lunch buffet. The reception was presided by CSSA president Ming Xia. Consul Tianlong Min and Educational Counselor Wei Shao gave warm speech and delivered their Chinese New Year regards to all the attendees.
